Read the full review: Panasonic DP-UB9000 review Naturally all these flagship features don’t come cheap - but, for those seeking the ideal replacement Blu-ray player after Oppo’s collapse, the Panasonic DP-UB9000 is a more than adequate replacement. Toss in a host of smart features, and the UB9000 ticks nearly every box in the book. Not only is the player more than capable with images, it has audiophile aspirations as well, sporting high quality DACs, two-channel and 7.1-channel analogue outputs, and Hi-Res Audio support. The latter is included, despite the fact that Panasonic isn’t supporting Dolby Vision on any of its 4K TVs. The plastic and tin build, familiar on mainstream Blu-ray players, has been replaced with heavy metal and luxe design.īeyond its good looks, however, the DP-UB9000 is also the first UHD deck from Panasonic to support all key HDR flavours: vanilla HDR10, its dynamic sibling HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision. That said, beautifully made and enviably specified, this flagship 4K disc spinner is unashamedly premium. The DP-UB9000 is Panasonic’s latest flagship 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player and, after Oppo started winding down its competing devices, the new model finds itself in one of the top spots in the high-end player market. I hope this helps with your query.-No SACD or DVD-audio playback -CD playback is acebric
#Atmos player update#
This is a cosmetic issue and you will still be receiving Dolby Atmos audio as our team have tested this, this will require a future update to Dolby Access to resolve this issue however - so I would suggest to keep an eye out for that update for this issue to This is an issue we are aware of and this issue is related to an update that Microsoft/Xbox have implented ****o. Thank you for contacting Dolby Customer Support. I understand they said we are still gettingĪtmos but thats only true if you arent using a headset to chat because the moment i plug mine in to the 3.5 jack on the c****y changes the audio settings to 7.1 uncompressed instead of Bitstream Atmos. So please please please get this feedback to the right people and make your support team aware so people know whats going on and xbox can get this fixed. Okay Xbox i just received this from the Dolby support team. Tl dr Atmos working through Xbox Blu-ray player but not apps.
Not sure if it means anything but every time I switch from Atmos to Dolby or DTS in Xbox settings, it prompts me to set up Access again. Just tried Apocalypse Now Blu-Ray and Nakamichi demo disc with Xbox set to Atmos output and both sounded great with Atmos. Tried reset, hard reset, messing with setting on soundbar, etc.Ĭoincidentally, Access app was updated last week (?) Switching output to Dolby Digital or DTS on Xbox allows upmix/surround. Since the middle of last week I’ve not been able to get any of the apps to play Dolby Atmos even though Nakamichi says it’s receiving Atmos.Įven trying non-Atmos content and Dolby Surround/Upmix, SSE, etc has no effect if Xbox is set to output Atmos. I was able to get Dolby Atmos working fine on my Xbox One S (Apocalypse Now Blu-Ray, Dolby Access App, Mad Max Fury Road on Vudu App) last Set up is LG 65" TV, Xbox One S, Nakamichi 7.2.
